What is an Alternative to a Plastic Toothbrush?

Plastic Toothbrush

Hi and welcome to JADa Therapy

Today I will be talking about what is an alternative to a plastic toothbrush? And why it is a good idea to change from using a plastic toothbrush.

The alternative I will be talking about is a bamboo toothbrush which is far better to use than a plastic toothbrush.

The News About Plastic

There is so much bad press about plastic and the dangerous chemicals that go into make plastic.  Also that it is really bad for the environment. A plastic toothbrush when disposed of will take hundreds of years to fully break down and then that will only cause other problems.

A long with using alternatives for plastic shopping bags, plastic drinking straws and plastic coffee cups in order to save our environment.  I think it is time to start thinking about what we are brushing our teeth with.  Plastic toothbrushes.

Today the majority of toothbrushes are plastic but there is an alternative, eco-friendly alternative which is plastic free and this is a bamboo toothbrush.

Benefits of Using a Bamboo Toothbrush

The benefits of using a bamboo toothbrush is that once you have finished using it you can put the handle into the compost and recycle the bristles, making a bamboo toothbrush environmentally friendly.

Whilst a plastic toothbrush will take hundreds of years to fully breakdown making it really bad for the environment.

I read that Bamboo toothbrushes also have a lower carbon footprint and it is biodegradable. Changing over to a bamboo toothbrush is a really easy thing to do and will reduce the plastic waste in your home.

Why Use a Bamboo Toothbrush?

Here are a few more reasons why using a bamboo toothbrush is a good choice.

  1. Alternatives plastic toothbrush (made with toxic chemicals)
  2. A sustainable alternative to plastic toothbrushes
  3. Good for your teeth and gums
  4. Non plastic toothbrush (non-toxic)
  5. Eco-friendly toothbrush
  6. Plastic Free toothbrush
  7. Environmental toothbrush

Where Can You Buy Your Bamboo Toothbrush?

One thing that I would say is that bamboo toothbrushes are a little bit more expensive than plastic toothbrushes. I think that it works out better price wise when purchased in bulk.
