How To Effectively Start Using Bentonite Clay
Hello and welcome to JADa Therapy
Today I am going to show you how to effectively start using Bentonite Clay.
I love using bentonite clay and have found it a real game changer in many ways. I have been using bentonite clay for over five years now and I still have a lot more to learn about how truly amazing it is.
Word Of Warning When handling Bentonite Clay
It is important to note that when you are using bentonite clay, you do not let it come into contact with anything metal, because the clay will draw any impurities from it, making it less effective. Always use glass, wooded tools when handling it. If you do not have glass or wooden items then use plastic.
If you are taking medications please consult your medical adviser before adding to your routine.
If taking internally please introduce to your body slowly in small amounts and never over do the taking of bentonite clay.
What is Bentonite Clay?
Bentonite clay is a make-up of aged volcanic ash which is also known as ‘Montmorillonite’. The name comes from one of the largest deposits of bentonite clay which is located in Fort Benton, Montana.
Bentonite clay is an odourless grey or cream in colour and a fine consistency. What I really like about it is that it is really easy to work with. When I am mixing it, it works well with my natural recipes.
Bentonite clay contains a high concentration of minerals such as:
- Iron
- Potassium
- Sodium
- Magnesium
- Calcium
- Silica
It also absorbs and removes toxins, impurities, heavy metals and chemicals.
Bentonite clay is a common ingredient in many external detox and cleansing products such as:
- Mud masks
- Skin care products
- Poultices
- Detox baths
It is also used for internal use because of its amazing ability to have an alkalizing effect on the body when taken correctly. It is really good for bringing balance to the gut bacteria.

Drinking Bentonite Clay For Internal Benefits
If you are planning on taking bentonite clay internally by mouth by either drinking it or eating it you could try this:
½ to 1 teaspoon into a glass jar with a plastic lid
Mix with pure water and shake until clay is mixed well then drink it right away.
Take one hour before meals
Take at least 2 hours before or after taking medication as this may reduce to the effectiveness of your medication.
Always consult your medical adviser before you start using.
I have found that drinking bentonite clay is a great way to remove toxins from the body and healing the digestion issues.
