Bentonite Clay for Acne: A Healthy Alternative Treatment

Bentonite Clay for Acne

Bentonite Clay for Acne

Hello and welcome to JADa Therapy

Today I am going to show you why bentonite clay is really good for resolving acne problems.

I love using bentonite clay as a face mask and have found it a real game changer in many ways.  I have been using bentonite clay for over seven years now and I still have a lot more to learn about how truly amazing it is.

What is Bentonite Clay?

Bentonite clay is a make-up of aged volcanic ash which is also known as ‘Montmorillonite’.  The name comes from one of the largest deposits of bentonite clay which is located in Fort Benton, Montana.

Bentonite clay is an odourless grey or cream in colour and a fine consistency.  What I really like about it is that it is really easy to work with.  When I am mixing it, it works well with my natural recipes.

Bentonite clay contains a high concentration of minerals such as:

  • Iron
  • Potassium
  • Sodium
  • Magnesium
  • Calcium
  • Silica

It also absorbs and removes toxins, impurities, heavy metals and chemicals.

Bentonite clay is a common ingredient in many external detox and cleansing products such as:

  • Mud masks
  • Skin care products
  • Poultices
  • Detox baths

It is also used for internal use because of its amazing ability to have an alkalizing effect on the body when taken correctly.  It is really good for bringing balance to the gut bacteria.

Word Of Warning When Handling Bentonite Clay

It is important to note that when you are using bentonite clay, you do not let it come into contact with anything metal, because the clay will draw any impurities from it, making it less effective. Always use glass, wooded tools when handling it. If you do not have glass or wooden items then use plastic.

Bentonite Clay for Acne

Bentonite clay has many uses and people have been using bentonite clay for centuries for healing their bodies by either ingesting it or putting on their body.

The brilliant thing about bentonite clay is that it gives a negative electric charge which makes it great for removing toxins from the body and as mentioned earlier can benefit the body both externally and internally.

I am going to focus on externally and how it can help in curing acne.  It will help in detoxing and clarifying the skin and here are a few reasons why.

Also why you should start using bentonite clay face mask.

How to make your bentonite clay Face Mask

Ingredients

  1. Bentonite clay
  2.  Pure Water (bottled or distilled water)

Make it into a paste and apply, let dry and wash off with warm water.  Pat dry and moisturise your face and you are done.

Bentonite clay will unclogs the skin pores and shrinks them

Bentonite clay is great for all skin types because no matter what you skin type is your pores can still get clogged at some point.

It will help to shrink the size of your pores and pull out impurities from the skin. It will also help in preventing blemishes and will keep your face clean and skin soft and smooth.

Use this face mask twice a week to maintain the size of your pores and keep your skin feeling silky and fresh.

Bentonite Clay Helps Control The Overproduction Of Sebum

If you have

  1. Oily Skin
  2. Abnormal shedding of dead skin cells
  3. Excess bacteria
  4. Prone to breakouts
  5. Black heads
  6.  White heads

All these can result in acne.

Use the bentonite face mask three to four times a weeks for 2 weeks and then reduce to two to three times a week and use a light moisturising cream after applying face mask.

Bentonite Clay Will Draw Out The Toxins From The Skin

Bentonite clay has a very strong negative electrical charge.  This is great because many toxins have a positive charge and will bond to the clay.  When bentonite clay comes into contact with a toxin, heavy metal, chemical and or other impurities, it will react like a magnet and pull them out of the skin and at the same time releasing its healing minerals into the skin.

Another thing that bentonite clay will do, is to pull hydrogen from the cells, which will allow more room for oxygen. This is brilliant for skin health and circulation.

Silica is the most abundant mineral in the earth’s crust, a chemical compound silicon dioxide.

Glass quartz, and sand are all comprised of oxygen and silicon.

Using bentonite clay on your skin means that you will reap the benefits.  You can also get more benefits from eating foods high in this mineral, such as:

  • Cucumbers
  • Mangos
  • Asparagus
  • Celery
  • Garbanzo beans

Bentonite Clay Will Give You a Definite Glow To Your Face

Bentonite clay will condition and nourish your skin by removing the dead skin cells and extracting the access oils and impurities from the skins surface giving your skin back its natural glow.

Bentonite Clay To Exfoliate Your Face

Exfoliating is a really important part of any skincare routine.  It will remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, remove dirt and access oil that can cause acne.

It will also improve your blood circulation.

There are many exfoliating products available but many contain really harsh ingredients.

Bentonite Clay Will Help To Reduce The Appearance Of Scars

Unfortunately when suffering from acne you also have to deal with the after effects of scars.

The good this is that using bentonite clay to cure your acne you will also have the benefits of it healing your scars also.

Bentonite clay helps to remove toxins from your pores and this allows the skin to heal and reduces inflammation and redness.

It will also help in lightening acne scars on the face.  It is also really good at getting rid of scar tissues and stretch marks.

Over the years the skin goes through so much and can get damaged due to sun exposure, acne which can cause discolouration and uneven skin tone on the face.

Using bentonite clay can help to bring the bounce back to the skin on the face and give a younger looking skin by improving the skin texture, tone and glow.

Bentonite Clay Can Be Used To Replace Toxic Face Powder

Instead of using toxic face powder that can actually cause skin irritations, why not use a safe and natural alternative.  Bentonite clay is non-toxic staple that every woman should use.  Also you will gain more benefits that will keep your skin healthy.
