Tea Rinse For Shedding And Hair Growth: JADa Therapy
Hello and welcome to JADa Therapy
My name is Jennifer and today I want to share with you the power of a tea rinse for your hair. Tea Rinses was a game changer for my hair growth journey.
A nice cup of tea can be relaxing and soothing for your mind and body. But did you know that it can work wonders for your hair?
Yes I know, who would have figured that you could use tea that you drink on your hair.
Tea rinse is not a new thing, in fact tea rinses is an ancient beauty treatment, used for treating scalp issues and some teas can also enhance hair colour and a lot more.
So What Is A Tea Rinse?
A tea rinse is put simply rinses your hair with tea. You can pour tea over your hair and let it sit in your hair for 15 minutes to half an hour and then rinse it out or you can use it as a final rinse.
You can also spray the tea onto your hair and use it as a leave it.
I have use it both ways, and find both options equally beneficial.
What I really love about using a tea rinse is that if you have shedding hair, you will see results almost instantly with the first use. Within a week of using your shedding should have completely stopped.
Benefits Of Using A Tea Rinse On Your Hair
- Using a tea rinse will help to improve your hair health and promote growth by adding:

Black Tea For Hair

- Black tea is also brilliant for shedding hair – if you notice that you are losing your hair in clumps, this may just be the solution that you are looking for.
- Black tea is also known for thickening and strengthening hair.
- One of the main reasons for hair loss is a hormone (Dihydrotesterone or DHT) and the amazing this thing is that black tea contains caffeine which blocks DHT which helps your hair strands to grow.
Rooibos Tea and Hibiscus Tea For Hair
Rooibos tea is great for red heads, it will enhance hair colour whilst nourishing the scalp and hair follicles.
Chamomile Tea For Hair
Chamomile tea is good for any hair colour but it is a perfect fit for blond hair. It will smooth the scalp and soften the hair.
Green Tea For Hair
Green tea is great for promoting faster hair growth by increasing metabolism
Tea Rinse For Grey hair
For grey hair you can add a couple of teaspoons of Sage. By adding sage to your tea rinse it will enable the hair follicles to open letting the colour to penetrate the hair.
Can You Leave Tea In Your hair?
Yes you can but it is a personal choice. I have left tea in my hair on many occasions over the years that I have been using it.
I often spray the tea of choice on my hair for added moisture.
How To Make Tea Rinse?
I am going to tell you how I make my tea rinse. I like to make mine really strong but you can change the amount of tea bags to suit you.
Making Tea Rinse for Spray Bottle
Put 4 to 6 tea bags in a mug and add hot water, let it sit until cool and then add to spray bottle.
Spray onto hair and style as usual without rinsing out.
Making Tea Rinse
Put 10 tea bags in a large jug and add hot water, let sit until cool and then pour onto hair and scalp. Massage gentle for few minutes and cover with a shower cap and leave in for 15 minutes to an hour.
You can at this point dry and style as usual or rinse out before styling.
My Thoughts
What I love about using teas as a hair treatment, it does not have to become part of my routine. You can use it on your hair once or twice a week to once or twice a month. You can even use it when you feel you need to give your hair a special pampering.
If you are using tea rinses because of shedding then use it as a rinse or spray until you notice that you’re shedding as reduced or stopped.

What a great post. I love the idea of using Rooibos tea because I drink it often. Great way of using up used tea bags to make a spray.
Thanks for your ideas.
I also love the way you have advertised using the buttons. I still need to learn that.
